Providing total health care support to students, faculty, and staff members

The Health Care Center is operated on both Setagaya and Kenshidai Campuses to provide services for maintaining the health and safety of all NSSU students, faculty, and staff members.
Each patient is examined to identify any health issues it may experiencing (i.e., lifestyle, disease, injury, etc.) in reference to its periodical medical examination results also. Then, health care services and consultation are provided to address them optimally.
In particular, the Health Care Center has a team of doctors that specialize in sport medicine available to offer consultation on any sports-related disease or injury.

All students are required to have personal accident insurance coverage.
For more details, please refer to The Information Booklet on Personal Accident Insurance for Students Pursuing Education and Research (Japanese title: 学生教育研究災害傷害保険しおり) that was provided to you at the time of matriculation.

Insurance covers the following:

1. any accident occurring in a class session or at a school event;
2. any accident occurring while commuting to school or travelling from one facility to another; and
3. any accident occurring at a school facility in an extracurricular activity or another circumstance that is not a class session or school event.

If you would like to make a consultation appointment, please come to the reception at the Health Care Center.
*No insurance card needed. No fee payment required.

Doctor’s appointment is required for all consultations.
Consultation dates are subject to change due to the doctors’ scheduling changes, school events, etc. Please check with the Health Care Center in advance.

• The students’ periodical medical examination is conducted each year pursuant to the School Health and Safety Act. (The individual test results are sent to each student by postal mail.)
• This medical examination is a prerequisite for each student to participate in off-campus practicums, etc.

• If you took the medical examination, you may purchase a certificate of your medical examination from the automated certificate issue machine (only the certificate from the current academic year is available).
• The price is JPY 300 per copy.
